Welcome to the Business Marketing Association of the Hudson Valley

With 85+ years of excellence; The International Business Marketing Association was started in 1922. Offering education, training, and professional development, the BMA provides access to the data, people, and programs required for career enhancement and business growth for B2B marketers.

The Hudson Valley Chapter of the BMA is the doorway to both the BMA’s international programs and to a wealth of programs and networking possibilities right here in the region. While business to business marketing has traditionally been the exclusive focus of the BMA, the Business Marketing Association of the Hudson Valley (BMA-HV) has expanded its parameters to appeal to consumer marketing professionals as well.

Our region has experienced a major transition in the last several years. In a short time we went from being a farming and vacation community to one of the best places to do business in the entire country. In fact, in 2006 our region was 19th on the Forbes “200 best places to do business” list, and we expect it to ascend even higher in the years to come. Here at BMA-HV we feel we have a great opportunity (and responsibility) to work together to ensure that everyone in the business community profits from the good fortune that has made our region such a great place in which to live and work—and visit. The BMA-HV was formed to take advantage of this dramatic growth opportunity.

The Business Marketing Association provides a wide range of services, resources, and opportunities to help you meet the daily challenges of sustaining business profitability and enhancing your development as a marketing professional.  The Hudson Valley Chapter of the Business Marketing Association membership consists of marketing, sales, PR, and marketing services professionals throughout the Hudson Valley. In terms of job titles and functions these individuals are identified as sales and marketing professionals with the title of: Advertising Director, Marketing Director, Corp Communications Director, Public Relations Director, Corp Communications Manager, Public Relations Manager, Advertising Manager, Marketing Manager, Product Manager, E-Business, Public Relations.  The BMA-HV is also open to business professionals whose primary job focus may not be that of a Marketing Director but of professionals who need to learn more about how to increase sales and customer satisfaction.

The BMA-HV hosts monthly dinner meetings September through May that provide an opportunity to network with marketing specialists from the Hudson Valley and hear guest speakers lecture on a specific marketing topic and learn ways in which they can improve marketing strategies in their companies.  Priced at $35 for members and $45 for non members, it’s a fraction of the cost of travel and attendance fees for other high-priced conferences or seminars.

Each June, the BMA-HV hosts a Marketing Leadership Award breakfast to honor individuals who have made an impact in the Hudson Valley through their marketing campaigns.

Past Speakers and Topics

Our monthly meetings are illuminating, inspirational, and great fun. Collectively, the information imparted by the various experts who have presided over our meetings since BMA-HV formed in 2004 has been the equivalent of a doctorate in both tried-and-true and hot new marketing techniques. And although it seems we have covered every aspect of marketing already, we find each month there is always something new to learn.
